Beginning with the 2026–2027 school year, New York State Education Law Section 926 requires school districts to provide families with annual information on drowning prevention, water safety and safe swimming practices.
North Rockland Central School District is sharing resources from the New York State Department of Health to help families understand the importance of water safety and prevent drowning.
Families are encouraged to review these resources and discuss important water safety practices with their children.
